VMPET-TH Film (Vacuum Coated AlOx High Clarity/Barrier Film)
Foil-level barrier × Fully transparent × Microwaveable

Traditional packaging often uses aluminum foil as the highest barrier material, but foil is opaque, non-microwaveable, and leaves aluminum ash after incineration, polluting the environment.
To solve these issues, we developed VMPET-TH film, which deposits aluminum oxide (AlOx) onto PET via vacuum coating to create a fully transparent, ultra-high barrier, microwaveable eco-friendly film. It can completely replace traditional aluminum foil and chlorine-containing barrier films (KPET, KOP, KNY) and also compensates for EVOH film's poor humidity stability.
Structure and Principle
Depositing aluminum on PET and oxidizing it into transparent aluminum oxide creates a film with foil-level barrier while remaining transparent.
Why Choose Aluminum Oxide?
Maintains transparency: the aluminum layer oxidizes into a glass-like AlOx layer, offering visual clarity and ideal for high-end packaging windows.
Ultra-high barrier: provides foil-like barrier against oxygen and moisture.
Moisture- and heat-resistant, microwaveable: withstands 121°C high temperature and humidity, suitable for microwave heating.
Eco-friendly: chlorine-free, emits no toxic gases when burned, and contains very little metal.
Material Features
High barrier: blocks oxygen and water vapor at foil-equivalent levels.
High transparency: completely colorless for direct product display.
Heat resistant: suitable for retort and sterilization of ready-to-eat foods.
Microwaveable: non-metal structure allows microwave heating.
Metal-detection friendly: low metal content does not affect contamination detection systems.
Environmentally incinerable: burning yields no toxic gases or residues, saving energy and reducing carbon.
Lightweight: replaces foil and rigid containers, reducing weight.
High stability: maintains material stability under high temperature, humidity, and long-term storage.
Excellent printing and processing: surface is printable and easy to laminate with other materials.
Abrasion, tensile, and chemical resistance: suitable for products containing oils, acids/alkalis, or requiring high tension.
Wide application: usable for food, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and functional products.
Best use: ideal for modern packaging that demands eco-friendliness, high barrier, transparency, and metal detection capability.
